Three singles and a wild pitch, and all they can muster is one run.

It's every where Bobster. All over MLB. I don't get it. It's almost like every team has "run on contact regardless if it makes sense" in play

Just yesterday, people were complaining about my posting Tom's BA and saying it was too small a sample size. But today his OBP is not a small sample size???

This one doesn't look like a fair fight TBH. This is like the lineup you put out as the away team early in ST.
Just tuned in:
Initial thought on that lineup:
Rub a dub dub
Look at all those scrubs

And Cahill is being taken out? WTF are you paying him for?

74 pitches, one out, no one on, and you're pulling your starter because it's the third time through the order? What about he's had their number all day? How about showing some faith?

I know. It makes no sense. Modern baseball strategy that seems designed for no reason other than to do the opposite of conventional thinking because we think we are smarter today than people in the past.
Similarly, another new strategy in MLB is to have your infield drawn in practically any time an unforced runner is at 3B and less than 2 outs. The saying was that a drawn in infield adds 100 points to the batter's average because it reduces the chances of being in position to get him out. But it's a chance worth taking in a close game in the later innings when 1 more run will likely determine then outcome. But the new thinking is to do it even in earlier innings and even when down by a handful of runs. And those hits against that infield only make the situation even worse with plenty of time left in the game.

How the heck do you PH for your RBI leader and 2nd in HR's on the team with 8, with a guy who only has 3 doubles, and then PH for that guy?
Thanks Bell......I'm sure when the day your fired, they'll be attaching this analysis I just provided with your pink slip
