I do think Frazier's bat plays better at 2B. I know he is a butcher in the field at 2B. Harrison is a better fielder, by far. I do think Frazier can hit similar to Harrison.
I'd rather see a more power hitter in the outfield. At least potentially one that can hit with some pop. That is why I prefer giving Luplow a chance in LF.
I want to see Frazier play to see what he can do as a full time player. That might actually save Moroff as the back up second baseman.
That is my reasoning for moving Harrison. It opens up LF for Luplow. It gets Frazier in the line up. Who knows what Harrison would bring back? A power hitting outfielder to put in the mix would be nice too.

Wait, how did the Marlins get left out of this cheapness poll?

Good point. Is it misery loves company, or miserly loves company?

Harrison wants out anyway. The Pirates have Moroff and Frazier to play 2B. It will probably make decisions easier.
UMMM ... Frazier is probably playing in the OF due to our FO failures to acquire an adequate OF.
If you are trading Harrison, try getting a longer term option that can help. I have see teams interested in Hunter Renfroe. Easy deal there.
If Harrison is traded for an outfielder, that leaves 2B open. Second base is a position that Frazier plays as well. A longer term option might not be needed in the outfield with guys like Luplow and Meadows in the system.
So you want to send them a player that makes more, and is older? Didn't they just dump Dickerson and his salary, but you want them to take on JHAY and his 10M salary? Makes sense. By the way there isn't anyway the Pirates are going to eat salary.
Yes, I want it to happen. The Pirates ate salary for McCutchen. They can eat enough to keep the payroll the same and it will still be cheaper for the Rays.
Wanting something and thinking it will actually happen are different. But to answer your question, I do want to trade Harrison for an outfielder. I've been preaching that since the Cole return did not bring back a major league ready outfielder.
Well if we're playing in fantasyland, I want the Nationals to trade us Harper for Harrison. Hey he's a power hitting corner outfielder.

Just read on twitter that on Thursday there should be a decision on his future!

I still wish they could add Dickerson to the roster. He does strikeout a lot, but he could take advantage of the short porch in right field. He would lengthen the lineup. We need players who can drive in runs.

I would think that ship has sailed with the acquisition of Brentz.

UMMM ... Yanks just got Drury. The market for Harrison is basically gone now, so ... You would trade him for an OF (that I would agree ... how about that), however ... that is gone with the most recent ridiculous adds of 29 year old rookie that is basically a DH instead of an OF; Sanders, who sucked in Philly last year and Nava.

Pretty obvious they weren't trading Harrison. I've been saying for months the Yankees would have been my target. I've also been convinced that Harrison isn't going anywhere since the start of the move.
I wasn't predicting he would be traded to the Yankees. I'm not sure what you are trying to get me on this time?
