Trey Cabbage didn’t last long with the Pirates. He was given his release to play overseas.

I just checked the Pirates 40 man roster, and currently there are only 15 pitchers on the roster. I know it is only December, but if the season started soon 13 of those 15 would come north. Yes they have signed a couple non roster pitchers, and there are some high level prospects,but they soon should be adding pitchers to fill out the roster.

well this likely means that a couple of those empty roster spaces will be filled with free agent pitchers.
