I see the Bucs have more strike outs than hits, but that’s hardly anything new.

Sell out crowd, chanting “sell the team.”

Canario had great chance to throw runner out at home from shallow centerfield, but the throw barely made it past the infield dirt before bouncing in the grass.

Yet one more example of what it means to work hard in the offseason to build a championship team.

The top of the Bucs order can’t get the ball out of the infield in the eighth. Still 3-0 Cleveland.

Hard hit ground ball at Frazier. He gets down on his knees and waves his glove at it. E-4.

Bednar gives up a single but no runs in his return to the big club.

Bizarre play. Valdez leads off the ninth with a triple. Safe on a close play at third. Takes his hand off the base to ask the umpire for time and gets tagged while his hand is asking for time. Umpire calls him out.

Well, at least he didn’t slide into third with his phone spilling out of his pocket. They’re getting better, Bobster, they’re getting better.

The Pirates had a chance to impress a sellout crowd. Instead, the crowd saw Skenes lose, the Pirates fail to score, Cruz unhustle a double into a single, Canario make a throw from centerfield that barely got past the infield dirt, and Valdez attempting a needless triple to start the ninth inning trailing by three runs, resulting in a needless out. I don’t think the crowd was impressed with what they saw today. Maybe that’s why they were chanting “sell the team.”

I think if the Guardians third baseman had been eating sunflower seeds during the play, Valdez might have been safe.
