We interrupt this ballgame broadcast to bring you an in-depth discussion of the color of shoes. Thank you, Joe Block and Neil Walker. That's why I tuned in.

Just got home, was listening to the futility on the radio. Brown brought up what a major disappointment Hayes has been with only 21 RBI. Here's something to think about though: Hayes has 3 HR's, meaning he's driven in 18 other people. Cutch has 13 HR's but only 28 RBI. He's driven in only 15 other people.

Cutch isn't doing it. He's 62nd among qualified players for OBP. That's not cutting it for a lead off hitter.

We already know Rowdy won't be with the team next season. Heck, he may not be with them Tuesday.

Right now, you have Cruz, Gonzales, and Reynolds that I wouldn't think of trading, along with much of the pitching staff. We have an almost entire roster of dead weight. (Cruz homers as I type this).

I think the whole thing about "internal improvement" was simply BC saying in a sideways manner, "If what we have is able to contend, great. But I am looking to 2025. Then most of these guys will know, and so will the fans, they had a fair shake, and more than enough chances."

I also feel BC isn't interested in making any moves because I don't believe he has any confidence in Shelton. We all kept giving him the benefit of the doubt because he didn't have anything to work with. I've never seen such poor managing with the pitching staff he has, especially when the relief corps got healthier.

IMHO, the best thing that could happen to this team is to fire Shelton, and bring in a guy like Showalter, Girardi or Maddon, but we know that won't happen because they won't tolerate meddling by the GM. I honestly believe this is where a manager really could make a difference with a team with some talent.

In case you missed it, Alika Williams took Gonzles spot on the roster, not Peguero. He has a .421 OBP going at Indy.

Who goes when Reynolds comes back? Bae? Suwinski? Palacios?

When your only righthand option is Taylor, you got problems. I almost feel sorry for shelton.
