It’s being reported that the Yankees have acquired Jazz Chisholm from the Marlins for three prospects. I’ll bet the Pirates will say their offer was really, really good and they just missed closing the deal.

Supposedly it's a done deal- Yankees gave up 3 prospects

Baltimore needs mlb pitching real bad and Pirates have it. Bednar and a Ortiz would land a nice bat or two . If Jones was healthy, damn.

I really didn`t want all that Jazz anyway.

I think the Pirates traditionally lead MLB in "being in on" trade talks. I think where talks fall apart is where they say, "we'd like to trade for that guy; we just don't want to pay him."

Anyone read the story on the MLB site "5 trades that should happen....but (probably) won't"?

The very first one is the Pirates get Vlad Jr. and C Danny Jansen for Termarr Johnson, Anthony Solometo, and Hunter Barco.

It's pretty bad when the MLB site jumps on the "BOB is cheap" train (though they don't mention his name) as a main reason this trade wouldn't happen.

Jansen's off to Boston.

The Orioles acquired 2 pitchers yesterday. Starter Zach Eflin and reliever Seranthony Dominguez.

It appears that we could quickly be going from thinking about who can the Pirates bring in (and likely won't) to what can we get for this guy.
