That was...awesome...

Finally gave Arrieta the business...

22 was 22 again...at least for the night...

Liriano still looked bad, but I'll take it...

Bell is physically imposing and has the swing to match...Jaso might only have a few games left as a Pirate...

I agree that Jaso's days could potentially be numbered, but man I really like him. Professional hitter. Good lead-off hitter. Seems like a good team guy.

Huge win tonight to start this series. The Pirates had to find a way desperately to get by Arrieta and beat him for a change and they did just that.

The Cubs are still in pretty solid control of this division overall, but that little crack they are leaving open for the Pirates to get back in this division race is starting to become a little bit more wide. A win tomorrow night sets up a chance for a sweep Sunday and a huge huge opportunity to basically get within a handful of games of the Cubs at 5.5 back at the All Star Break.

Great win. So many Cub fans there too.

Sad I forgot Emerick was doing the game as I watched Roots.

I guess Bell's dad couldn't watch from his seat. Still kind of weird to me. But I originally thought he was in the concourse area trying to get back to his seat.

Bring on Lester. Bunt back to him. He can't throw to first.

Bell's dad (super nice guy) can be a bit nervous. He would watch from the concourse in Altoona too. We've run into his family a few times in Spring Training and in the Minors, it was great to see his reaction last night after Josh's hit.

Bell's dad is a physically imposing guy. Don't know what his sports background is, but the guy looks like he could play something right now.

He played college football. Not sure if he got any pro looks, but he was accused in a crime and later was acquitted.
