Polanco to DL

I know its fun to say that the Pirates only have 2 OFers and then make jokes about how inept they are. However, they are all about position flexibility. No you are wrong. Granderson is an upgrade. Only hitting .230 but has an .OPS of .813. He gets on base at a decent clip and hits for more power than anything we can trot out to RF including Polanco. He is also a real MLB OF. Of course we won't make a move for him we will carry an extra catcher to take Polanco's spot and play Joggin Jaso out there. I like Osuna's bat but his play in the OF offsets anything he can bring to the plate. There is no justifiable reason not to go get an OFer.
Slugging and HRs don't count. Neither does playing a decent OF. 30 points of batting average makes the difference
Unless its Jay Bruce. Then it doesn't matter because we don't need him when .255 Polanco is on the squad.

No one is joking when they say the Pirates FO is inept; definitely not a joke....
I'm convinced that when the season comes to an end and the Pirates win about 78 games, someone is going to post "see, we made it to the end of the season, we didn't need another OFer".
This whole thing is beyond belief. Neal claims they want to compete now, in a terrible division that won't take a lot to win, and the Pirates make just awful decisions, head scratching decisions. Bizarre.
perhaps the want to compete now is only talk to keep seats filled at the ballpark.
