Well I like Adam Frazier too.  I think he's a real good contact hitter.  Real good.

Unfortunately teams don't wait to hit DP balls until close and late when the defensive replacement is in there.  Not really possible to hide anyone at 2nd defensively.   1b you can pull it off.  RF & LF for sure.   2b? hmm

If we run with Mercer at SS and Frazier at 2nd, (and bell at 1st and Moran at 3b) we've got a below average defense pretty much all the way around the diamond.  The range is terrible, to put it bluntly.  Frazier lacks range (average) and glove (terrible) and DP turn,  Defensively, it's like a Dan Uggla playing 2nd from an overall quality standpoint.

Our rotation (outside of Taillon), have low K rates.   So what's going to give?  Cross our fingers, I guess.

I'm fine with the second coming of Dan Uggla if he can hit 22-25 homers.

lol me too.  I don't think SS, catcher, 2b, and to a lesser extent 3b and CF are places you can hide fielders successfully.   Frazier batting .300 8-10 isn't going to overcome the errors.   He's an outfielder.   Maybe he will figure out how to field 2b enough to make it work.   IDK

Isn't this two years in a row Harrison has broken his hand? That is a lot of salary on the bench for six weeks.

The elbow pad everyone wears these days is a great device. Now someone needs to come up with a hand-forearm pad.

They make them. Jeff Bagwell used to wear a big pad. Rickey Henderson used to wear padded batting gloves to bat and for base stealing.

This is the same injury that Harrison had last year in September.

I think Frazier might be good at 2nd just got to give him a chance some on here are fine with Jordy and Moran of three I think Frazier will be better at 2nd the other 2 are at there positions. I don't want to see Sean R. replace him against lefties either.

Wrong. Frazier is not good at 2nd. I don't even think he is serviceable. I would rather see Moroff and SRod. Let Frazier be the 4th OF, PH. That is where he belongs.

Frazier is not better than Moran or Mercer on defense. Mercer is a very good defender. He has the best fielding percentage at SS in the league since he took over in 2014.

Frazier is a bat, he has no glove. I am fine with him filling in / playing at 2B, but no way is he better than Moran and especially Mercer.

Mercer is a -2.4 UZR/150 in 5500 ML innings.

Mercer is steady and dependable on balls hit to or very near him. His fielding percentage is based only on those, not the ones a shortstop with better range would easily get to but he doesn't. I would expect to see one of the prospects getting time there by July.
