I know. If you bring in Holmes now when Crick's pitch count isn't high, you've burned a pitcher you might not wanted to if it goes another inning, and then you have Oviedo.

It's all on Crick getting all three outs

Newman is the ghost runner. My guess is Mattingly walks Tom so the pitcher has to bat, ,which is going to be a relief pitcher unless he wants to go with one of the starting pitchers
