while it is midseason and he has had more major league success than Olivares, i don't think the cost to acquire Ward should be much more than what the Bucs traded to KC. Maybe if Ward was having a great season.

I could see Olivares getting hot at Indy and coming back to the Bucs and being as good as Ward.

Compared to the outfielders other than Reynolds, Ward looks like a nice upgrade, at least for this season and maybe a couple more. What this organization needs is to finally draft and develop a couple of outfielders who can slug, preferably one who bats left. It’s mind-numbing after all these years that there’s no one in the system who looks like a legit HR hitter.

Wards batting .200 vs righty, guy is a platoon player. Has been getting worse last 3 seasons. Can't hide much longer. Basically Conner Joe !
