Kuhl's first inning was much better looking than against the Braves. Hopefully, he will keep throwing strikes early in the count.

I will play the glass half full role and say it is a lot easier to end well if you start well.

I think that ump got a little ticked that stewart and Mercer started to take off for walk and he called a couple of strikes out of spite.

just more evidence that umps should not call balls and strikes.

A bit late to the party. I've only seen a couple innings but what a nice surprise!

A very good game by Kuhl. I would have liked to let him finish the inning but I can't complain about Hurdle's decision. I was worried about Kuhl a bit after the last game but his control was much better. Hopefully, Glasnow will make a big leap in his next start, too.
