And I don't get Jaso in RF over Osuna. Granted, neither can play defense. But at least Osuna is hitting. To me that's a no-brainer. Not according to Dog it's not. Jaso and his .100 average and brutal defense are the best option out there now on this pennant contending team. Decisions like this are what lose you games early on in the season that you can't make up later because it's too late. No reason at all for Clint to start Jaso in RF over Osuna or even someone like Bell or JHay NONE!!!!

Great management of this team, looked like Osuna was getting in a groove so you set him wouldn't want to put a offense out their. So tired of Hurdle.

That's on Hurdle he is the one that made the decision to start him there and give Freese the night off. Hanson still should make that play no doubt, but if Clint doesn't play him and start him there like he has no business doing that error probably doesn't happen.

We are whining about defense, I'm much more concerned with our bats.

We can't hit a lick and are even worse with men on. I'm more tired of us not getting guys home from third with less than two outs than I am people dropping balls (though only slightly).

This team has basically been like watching someone run into a brick wall over and over...the self inflicted damage on and off the field is absurd...

That's absolutely the BEST description of this season I've heard so far.

Does anybody else think the Pirates are going to end up losing this game 1-0 on the Hanson error?? I just have no confidence the Pirates are going to be able to score any runs tonight NONE what so ever.

Another good analogy for this Pirates team would be You can't shine a turd with expensive polish.

Even if you could, Nutting would not spring for the expensive polish.

Thru 6 IP, Cole has only thrown 70 pitches, struck out 7 and not allowed an earned run.

Interesting how few comments there have been about it.

Cole, Taillon, Nova pitching like they are now, I think you just need a decent number 4 and even garbage 5th starter and remain competitive for the season
