For sure there was more pride back then. The leagues were different for years. The balls were even different as the AL had smaller ones and the NL larger ones. The NL was a "junk ball" even in the 80's as the AL pitchers threw the heat (the ball made a difference).



I do like the game is the same. No weird rules like the other sports. Again, there is no loyalty by the players. Even as an NL fan, I lost the fun rivalry with my AL friends.
