Bases loaded 1 out in the 9th down 11-8 and Bell is at the plate. Boy this would be something if the Bucs pulled this one out.

I would have rather them just got blown out then come all the way back down 11-3 to make it 11-10 and have bases loaded and one out and still lose the game. This team just continues to find ways to torture us.

Didn't watch, thankfully, but is there a better microcosm of the Pirates over the last six years than this game? Do just enough to keep things interesting, only to come up just a bit short in the end. Sounds pretty much like 2012-2017.

Did anyone really think the Pirates were going to get the really big hit to win the game in the 9th?
They pulled a Pirates by getting every hit and every baserunner they needed ... until the final BIG hit.
If they had trailed 7-3 they would have scored 6.
If they had trailed 13-3 they would have scored 12.

The most Pirates thing ever ...
Freese hits one 400 feet to the track in CF. If his swing is just a millisecond earlier or later, it clears the fence easily for a walk-off grand slam.

This is the best description of Pirate Baseball ever written. Exactly right.
