Mind boggling why on earth he is playing over Diaz.  Even on TV, they made mention this might be Stewart's last month here.  Hopefully so.
Yes but Stewart's 4th RBI now puts him 1 ahead of Cole and Glasnow. Whoo-hoo!!! Not to mention raising his average to .187. And his superior skills as a catcher have held the Reds to just 4 runs in the first 4 innings. Diaz will never get in there at this rate.

I fully expect Stew and Jaso back next year.  I'm being serious. I think extend both two years.  Payroll decrease is coming.

Stewart 2018: 1.5 million with 250,000 club buyout. Diaz at 2018 minimum of $545,000 + $250,000 Stewart buyout saves $705,000. That may be too much for Nutting to pass up.

I expect the Pirates to try and move Cervelli.

They'll try but how do you move an injury prone catcher with 22 million remaining on his contract?

Add a couple prospects? Nah, no one would do that....

fortunately we've gotten into the weak Reds bullpen. Only a matter of time before the Bucco hitters take advantage of them.

Throw in Glasnow and Meadows for incentive.

Gee, I never get tired of watching Jaso casually jog to 1B on ground balls.

He reminds me of Jason Schmidt he has stuff and once we trade him he'll put it together and be a outstanding pitcher.

I like how this is going. I want to blow it all up. The parts we have do not work together anymore. We have good parts to move and Neil needs to get a solid return. The minors have few players to get excited about. Need to reload with the trades of Cutch and Cole in the off season for starters and trade Marte buy next summer..You start from there .A big need is a 3b for sure .We need bats all around..i dont care if the defense is subpar. Bats will put fans in the seats.
