Jung Ho Kang - Winter League

Post by dmetz »

Kangs winter ball numbers mean almost nothing to me.   He has a big leg kick and a timing swing.   Being away from game pitching for so long, it's going to take him a little bit especially being the type of hitter he is with the type of swing he has.

He was a k machine in his first spring training with us too.

I hope he plays Mexican ball or something this year.maybe we can come to some agreement with a pro team somewhere that he can play for them until his visa is granted, then he has to be released to us.

I wonder why he didn't play Korean ball last year. Was it because no one wanted him or was it because he is the Pirates' property?

According to Bucs Dugout, the Pirates appear to be moving on without Kang.

Frank Coonelly: We've gone into this offseason with the notion that Jung Ho Kang, regrettably, won't be on our team.
