It just means he had a good season. Sometimes it's that simple. He figured some stuff out and earned his way to the majors.

Cutch never had a "this guy will be the MVP" type season in the minors.

I agree with that. I mean it could be an organizational guy as long as that guy did an awesome job.

It also means the players in front of him are good too.

Why is there a perception that Luplow's ceiling is that of a 4th outfielder? No one expected him to make it to the majors this soon. Last year he was playing for the Bradenton Maulers (A+). This year he had only half a season in AA and 44 games in AAA. Had he spent the full season in Altoona and played in Indy in 2018, we wouldn't expect anything from him until at least 2019. By then, with more AA and AAA experience, who knows what the perception of his ceiling would be? It's to his credit that he emerged this year and got called up. At this early part of his career, he's a reserve who's never had a full season at any level above Bradenton. But I see no reason to assume that's his ceiling.

I think most see his floor as a 4th outfielder at this point, not his ceiling.

Where did we rank him in our poll? I just think people weren't really high on Luplow with Meadows known to be the top outfielder and top prospect overall.

I bumped the poll update thread... He was 35th.
