One wonders if Alford, who should have been the lead runner, would have been caught admiring the scenery instead of paying attention as well. Probably.
Fowler wasn't admiring the scenery. He was sprinting for home with 1 out, then sprinting back to 3B. >:(

It's too bad Joey Cora is mute.

Looking at Rex Brothers it wouldn't surprise me to learn he has a still in the woods

is this a Joey Cora, hold 'em when they should go, send them with no chance type decision? or Fowler on his own?

Fowler took off as off as if he thought there were 2 outs instead of 1. Cora should have reminded him. Maybe he did and Fowler wasn't listening. Who knows?

Unfortunately we are seeing some play that is as bad as listening to block.
And why is that? Why are these guys so fundamentally bad year after year? It's not like they haven't played the game all their lives? It's not like they don't have a six week review before the start of each season. Really, it's tiring watching them make the same mistakes. You'd think the management would get tired of watching it, too, but I guess they don't.

I can blame Cora, but these are major league players and they should be well aware of the outs, and how much of a lead they can take on a fly. Sure it might drop in, but if it does you don’t need to be half way down the line. In my opinion, Fowler fell asleep on the field. Awful mistake! That is a darn run they should have.
