Molina, Osuna, and now Carpenter are on the IL, I would hope that the Bucs could win the next 2 games from the Cardinals.

Watching Pirate pitchers walk batters is very frustrating. And it's also very frustrating for the fielders behind him who can only stand around and watch while batters are gifted bases. The 2 walks by Agrazal in the 2nd inning were discouraging. Pirate pitchers have walked the 2nd most in the NL and 4th most in MLB. The NL average is 3.3 walks per 9 IP. Liriano and Archer are at 4.6. Holmes is 4.9. Feliz is 5.0. Crick is 7.8.

Didn't Dickerson win a Gold Glove?
Can't tell based on tonight.

Brilliant call sending Newman so that the strike out/throw out inning ending DP means Agrazal leads off the next inning. Brilliant.

How many runs has Dickerson coat them this series?

Wow, what an atrocious call on a foul ball to call it a game tying double!

Terrible, off the bat the ball bounces on the extreme foul side of the chalk and then bounces clearly foul past the bag. The only way it could have been fair is if the ball was changing directions between bounces

And then Cards mgr Shildt has the nerve to complain that the umps gave Hurdle too much time to challenge the play at 3B when Flaherty---who was only on 2B because the umps gifted him with a game tying double on a foul ball---was out foolishly trying to steal 3B. Shildt should be thankful the umps wrongly gave him a run instead of complaining that they didn't give him even more.

Feel pretty good about going into the bottom of the 9th inning with a 2 run lead and Vazquez on the mound. This now becomes a game the Pirates MUST win.
