"Finalist" in quotes because he won't (and shouldn't) win. It's a nice little honor though, and hopefully an indication for the future that he season wasn't a TOTAL waste.

I think Bell comes in second. That is still a very good accomplishment.

An unalloyed bright spot in the Pirates 2017 season which had too few.

I really thought Bell's defense would be bad. He didn't look comfortable in 2016 to me at all. I was certainly wrong. Bell was fine on defense.
