It is looking like he will not be moved due to his latest injury. That’s too bad because he might have brought back a decent prospect.

I can see it now, the Archer post-game.
"I was feeling good. I was hitting my spots. Obviously they got some hits off me and I need to improve. But I think it was a positive outing."

;D I was just wondering what Archer post-game comments would be this time.

I'm back to pitching like I always do. The hitters are just better than they used to be.
Lyles and Archer are not the answers for anyone's rotation in MLB.

Archer has settled down nicely after that "sketchy" first inning. You guys are way too critical of our ace.

This impressive display of ineptitude recently really couldn't have come at a better time. Last year's contender/pretender act in July is what gave us Huntington's Folly at the trade deadline. There should be no delusions this year on what must be done. Hopefully Huntington uses dynamite now and Nutting nukes the remaining rubble from orbit in the off-season.

Yep. I’m really sick of this organization’s definition of “contending”. That’s what Neal assured us of: rather than going all-in on a particular year, manage the asset to be good every year.
What we’re finding is that “contending” is reserved for those organizations that are run like baseball teams. The Pirates manage themselves like an accounting firm.
Just sick of this crap.
