I can live with this lineup. No Jaso until the 7th when he comes in to play defense(?) in place of Bell. Thank goodness Clint did not stick the two new guys in the lineup right away.

The mystery of Garrett Cole continues. Walks, hits and a bomb given up.

No mystery. There's talk of trading him for a big haul, so of course he's going to have trouble and kill that possibility. The curse of Kris Benson.

3 poor games in a row, finding Cole to be very frustrating.  Expected him to be better than this. He has given up more homers this year than in any other season.

I guess he doesn't like pitching with a lead.

This is what I was talking about earlier today regarding Cole.

He just never seems to be good enough.

If an offense as bad as the Pirates is going to score 4 runs, then Cole HAS to shut it down and win that game.

He has way too many starts of just 5 or 6 innings, 2 or 3 runs.

I don't know what to say. Just dumbfounded by the entire bottom of the 5th. Cole - just gives up so many big hits. His ERA is now solidly over 4. Just stunning.

Polanco - how did this guy get through little league much less a major league farm system playing OF at such an embarrassing level. Totally unacceptable.

What a mess.

He is a flawed pitcher and despite this, he will command a lot in return at the trade deadline. He isn't elite at all. I hope the Bucs do the right thing and send him packing for a lot in return.

Cole had never given up more than 11 HRs in a season until this year. He's now up to 15 and it's only June 2. It's getting so that we have no idea what to expect from him from one game to the next.

And who in the organization came up with the idea that Polanco was a good outfielder? He's awful!

Bell and Diaz homer in the 6th and the Pirates are somehow ahead 8-7.

Trade Cole

Trade Polanco

Trade Marte

Trade the Bat Boy
