It's that time of the month here are my selections
Over achievers- Giants- still haven't heard of half
their players
Detroit- have cooled off a bit but have won 62
games. Were picked for dead last in AL Central
Atlanta- lost some key players, shaky pitching staff except for Rich Rod bit still leading NL East
Under Achievers - Padres- have really tailed off- big payroll
Phillies- extremely high payroll
Mets- lost their two excellent players. However
there hitting has been dismal-Maybe they should fire their hitting coach Also are getting booed by their fans ;D

Over Achievers Under Achievers - Teams
Padres are certainly underachievers and might be in a world of trouble considering what they invested in the season. Too bad for them.

Overachievers- The highly-penalized Astros don't skip a beat.
Underachievers- The Nats. Though they shed some skin, the division was expected by some pundits to be wide open among four teams. They were one of the four. 20 below .500.

Over achievers as of 9-30
Cardinals Mariners(don't know any of them) Tigers ( were picked to finish last in their division)Houston (weak division but 2nd highest win total in the AL)
Under achievers- Padres ( with their payroll, big disappointment)
Phillies ( another very big payroll team)
Ordinarily I would say Mets but they lost two of the best Pitchers in baseball for most of the season
