Over Achievers Under Achievers - Teams
Thanks to WildwooDave 2 for the idea of starting this thread for us to discuss the teams that have overachieved & underachieved for each month of the season. Wildwood Dave2 will list his picks for both categories and invite you the members of OBN to agree or disagree or to suggest some other teams that you think belong here. Please keep this thread to just the teams in baseball. Dave and I will look to start another thread for players in the near future.
For April:
Overachievers: KC Royals, our Bucs, and the SF Giants.
Underachievers: Big Spender Yanks, Nationals, Twins in a weak division.

Agree on the overachievers. I'd add the Braves to the list of underachievers through April.
I guess the other teams would just be chievers.

I second the Braves. As much as I hate them I counted on them to keep the Phillies out of first place.

I didn't pick the Braves because they were in first place- No team in the NL East is over 500

Studs: Red Sox, last to first in a division where some teams allegedly amped up during the off-season.
Duds: Cubs, first to last in a division where some teams didn't.

Except for one, every team in the division is >= .500; even the Duds.
The one that isn't? The Overachievers. Sad part is- at 13 & 18, they might still be overachieving!

You must've given today's paper to Otis.
The Mets are over .500, also. They're in the NL East, last I heard.
