nice win.
Attendance less than 11,000.
I wonder if tv and radio ratings are down as much as attendance has been this season.

Scary bad attendance. It was hot, but this was baseball weather, with school out and against the division leaders.
Management and ownership has only its self to blame: they have lost Pittsburgh.

I agree VA with school out now and the weather nice and the team still very much in the thick of a playoff position and playing around .500 baseball there should at the very worst be nearly 20,000 people there on these week night games and even that isn’t very good. The fact that they are barely getting 10 or 11,000 in the ballpark should speak volumes to Mr Cheap ass and maybe sit down again and reevaluate just what the hell himself and both Frank and Neal are doing. Because whatever they are trying to sell or do from an attendance standpoint I got news for you gentlemen IT AINT WORKING!!!!

Tim Benz with a good turn of the phrase here:
If these alleged plans to improve the roster don't materialize, and players are subtracted once the wild card becomes out of reach, the chasm of distrust between the fan base and the front office will become even more vast.

Oddly enough, it seems you can make trades this time of year. I see where Washington got a closer from KC.

I don't know how much I'd give to add right now: .500 is still .500. They'd have to go on a hell of a tear in the next several weeks for me to believe they're going anywhere other than mediocrity. No trade we can make makes this team a legitimate threat IMHO.
