A player I'd really like to see the Pirates go after if he is indeed set loose, is Gary Sanchez.
In fact, I think someone mentioned in a thread somewhere about keeping the pipeline of former Yankees catchers going.
This would be a guy I'd go after too.

Another candidate who could be non tendered is the Cubs Albert Almora. He would be a good fourth outfielder or even a starting outfielder.

Having seen the final list now, I'd rather they go after Adam Duvall

The Rockies David Dahl might also be a good player to attempt to sign. He has had some injuries but he is still a young player, and he is a lefty hitter which would be a benefit to him with the short right field stands

Duvall had 16 HRs in 57 games in 2020. I read that the Braves elected to release him because he was projected to get between $4.4 million and $7.1 million in arbitration. The Pirates don't sign players that other teams believe are getting too expensive.

The Pirates keep everyone except Clay Holmes. Seems like someone is going to get traded (Frazier). I do not see the point in keeping Gonzalez or Feliz. Serve zero purpose and have zero upside.

He will not get that much in FA.
Different regime obviously, but Dahl was a contender for the Pirates to draft in 2012 when they opted for Appel.

It is being reported that the Bucs signed Holmes to a minor league contract with an invitation to ST.

so he is in same boat as Will Craig. Gotta hope that Holmes arm trouble is better.
