OK, the Decisive Trip out West

If you look at the standings as well besides the division the Pirates have pulled within 6.5 games of the 2nd wildcard spot and the team they are chasing for that is who they are playing this weekend the Rockies. A few weeks ago the Pirates were about maybe 11 or 12 games out of a wildcard spot which looked to be impossible. Cutting that lead in half as we sit now though has made the wildcard something to keep an eye on as well as the division which of course is the ultimate goal. So one or two more wins in Colorado this weekend you can also find yourself 4 or 5 games out of a wildcard spot in case the Cubs continue to stay hot and catch fire. It's amazing that the Pirates have picked up 6 games in the standings on the Brewers the last 5 or 6 days and cut the lead in the division from 8 down to just 2 games. Nobody in their right mind on this board could have saw this coming with this team winning 12 of 14 games with as inconsistent as they have been all season long.
