Cervelli - one year later

It was year ago today that Cervelli signed an extension. What is your opinion now on that deal?



(I can't find the thread to see what people thought at the time)



He hasn't been as good, but I still like it. He is crushing the ball right now, but not getting the results. His defense is decent. He seems like a team leader too.



I still consider him an above average catcher.

He is definitely stinging the ball pretty consistently and not seeing much but outs for his efforts. I like him overall, but I'm not sure about his durability. I'd like to see him split the role with Diaz so he gets more time off and Diaz gets some exposure to the majors.

I like it as long as you don't expect him to play too many games in a year.
