If that happens, they won't bring in a 27 year old with five years under his belt.
Trading Cole and Cutch would be throwing in the towel for 2018 but not bringing in some major talent this off season would be throwing in the towel too.

Part of me agrees with that. It will be a very young bullpen with a lot of hope. Adding a 3B and some veteran bullpen arms would make a huge difference in my opinion.

Agreed. Giving up and coasting on the season starts far short of trading Cutch and Cole. We need to add to compete in the division. If they don't legitimately add talent, and not marginal rebound and dumpster candidates, they should retool for the future. We don't need Cutch, Cole, Harrison or others to finish 3rd or 4th in the Central.

There is absolutely no reason not to go after Ozuna if you are NH.
As much as I love the Buccos, I'm to the point where 0-162 would be something to celebrate. We need something to get MLB Involved. A terrible product on the field would help.

Trading Cutch and going after a capable player like Ozuna who would be better isn't throwing in the towel. Missed opportunity. It's called lack of creativity; lack of being aggressive. Now excuse not having the foresight to try, if you want to continue to say you think this roster can compete for a playoff spot. It can't.

That third baseman better be quality, not bs garbage. We need to add a quality starter too. We need to add an upgrade for a declining Cutch. If you do that, then you have a roster that can possibly compete for a wild card.
