Who is the #35 prospect

Young, slick fielding SS Adrian Valerio makes his poll entrance at #34. Not sure if Tyler Webb is really a prospect, but he's got a good chance of making the team and is a rookie, so adding him. I've extended this poll to 3 days since I will be travelling Monday/Tuesday and won't be able to update on Monday.

The results thus far:

1 Austin Meadows 21 OF AAA

2 Tyler Glasnow 23 SP AAA/MLB

3 Josh Bell 24 1B/OF AAA/MLB

4 Mitch Keller 20 SP A-

5 Kevin Newman 23 SS AA

6 Ke'Bryan Hayes 19 3b A-

7 Nick Kingham 25 SP AAA

8 Cole Tucker 20 SS A+

9 Taylor Hearn 22 SP A-

10 Will Craig 22 3B A-

11 Steven Brault 24 SP AAA/MLB

12 Elias Diaz 26 C AAA/MLB

13 Alen Hanson 24 AAA/MLB

14 Gage Hinsz, 20 SP A-

15 Yeudy Garcia 24 SP A+

16 Edgar Santana 25 RP AAA

17 Clay Holmes 23 SP AA

18 Braeden Ogle 19 SP R

19 Jin-De Jhang 23 C AA

20 Luis Escobar 20 SP A+

21 Trevor Williams 25 RP AAA/MLB

22 Jose Osuna 24 OF/1B AAA

23 Max Kranick 19 SP R

24 Dovydas Neverauskas 25 RP AAA

26 Max Moroff 23 IF AAA/MLB

27 Barrett Barnes 25 OF AA

28 Eric Wood 24 3b AA

29 Tyler Eppler 23 SP AA

30 Travis McGregor 19 SP R

31 Connor Joe 24 3B A+

32 (tie) Steven Alamais 21 SS A+

I went with Gift.

I can see him up this year to fill in for an infielder if needed.

Ditto. I'm surprised he's still on here. I don't think he'll ever hit enough to be a mainstay at short. But he can certainly pass there on defense. There are plenty of 24th or 25th guys on MLB rosters right now that are there solely because they can hold their own defensively at short.

Lots of prospects in action at Clearwater today. Glasnow started and looked good, plus beat out an infield single to start a rally. The Phillies should bench everyone who played today because they didn't look like they wanted to play, even before they fell way behind. Josh Bell played almost the whole game at 1st and looked good there, plus an RBI single and a walk. Osuna again looked good at the plate, no real chances in left. Jaso, also a non-prospect, knocked in 4 and homered. Gift played third and made a couple of very nice plays, but the hop was too high to get one of the runners, plus had 2 hits. Wood also played 3B and had an RBI but no real chances. LaKind and Creasy in relief punched their tickets back to the minors. Elias Diaz homered and played the whole game behind the plate. Eury Perez homered, not sure if he qualifies as a prospect, he and Danny Ortiz will undoubtably lose playing time once the WBC ends. Adam Frazier and Phil Gosselin have both looked very good in the 2 games I've been to. Nothing like a sunny 76 degree day in March. Only gripe is you have to park further away from Clearwater stadium than I have for most games at PNC.

:) What a great way to spend some time in March! Hope you are really enjoying it (even though you had to walk that extra distance in the sunny, 76 degree weather). How does Ngoepe look at the plate? Overmatched or holding his own? Two hits sound promising. If he could only hit marginally he would be a great asset.

Gift hit the ball solidly. The Phils used mostly major league pitchers, I believe he faced Benoit, Jeanmar Gomez and Joely Rodriguez. What did the Bucs trade Joely for? He showed very good velocity.

Low turnout and another tie as of right now. Will call it a tie if it winds up that way.
