Yep Pirates need to give this guy a solid look . Need to see what he can do or trade him . Its nice having depth but this guy needs a chance at some point. Think Stewart is a FA after this year tho.

Do you think he should play over Cervelli?

I assume he backs up next year if Cervelli isn't moved.

Probably not, but a start or two a week more than stew was getting.

With a day game tomorrow he will probably get the start instead of Cervelli.

IMHO, Diaz is already qualified to be a backup catcher in MLB. Good defense, good arm, .280-ish hitter in AAA.

I agree with that. I did think he was a good trade candidate in the off season.
