I have been a fan of Evans since last season. Unfortunately he got hurt, and we didn’t see what he could do over an extended period. If he plays well while Hayes is out, he could become a regular in the lineup upon Hays return.

That could be possible. He plays 1B, 2B, 3B, LF and RF so he could be a super sub playing about 5 games a week. He'd be a big upgrade as a full time RFer but they aren't going to bench Polanco. Not this soon anyway. But he could play a lot of LF with Reynolds moving to CF. At least on the road where he wouldn't have as much ground to cover in LF. He could play 1B or RF against LHPs. As long as he hits, they shouldn't have a problem getting him in the lineup somewhere.
