Classy guy. I hope he catches on somewhere, just not in St. Louis or Chicago's Northside. Would be our luck...we'll be in a big game with them, bases loaded, one out, and Hughes comes in and gets a 6-4-3.

Hughes had a physical with the Brewers. We might be seeing him again. I hope he gets a jumbo-tron salute.

Signed for 950k for one year. That salary and what the Pirates owe him for the year is good money for him.

With the likelihood that Jared comes in mid-inning, I doubt that will happen. By I love the idea.

Just checked Hughes stats and so far he has pitched in 4 games and has not given up an earned run. I still agree it was best that the Pirates moved on from Hughes. He is a good guy and I hope he does well for the Brewers except when he pitches against the Bucs.
