I don't want to see any player hurt but thank goodness he's finally out of the line-up. Get healthy, Gregory, and then go home.
Re: Polanco to IL, Owen Selected
"Undisclosed injury." Funny how this coincided with the beginning of the minor league season. That would conveniently allow for a rehab assignment so he could try to learn how to hit.

Re: Polanco to IL, Owen Selected
Don’t they need to drop somebody from 40 man to add Owen?

Also, what will they do when Hayes returns. Speaking of Hayes, he might as well have broken his wrist. This is going on 5 weeks

When Hayes returns they could waive Tom. Or Polanco. Or Difo. Or Newman. Or T. Frazier. Or Feliz. Or Stratton. Or Holmes. So many possibilities. But carrying 14 pitchers, some of whom aren't very good, with too few on the bench is silly.

The chances aren't good that Polanco can learn anything that's related to baseball. That ship has sailed, if it was ever moored at the dock in the first place.

You're probably right but I think it's the last resort before releasing him. Give him the maximum rehab assignment just to see if it would do any good. They've put up with him this long so I think they would at least try that before pulling the plug. Just seems suspiciously convenient to me that on the day the minor leagues get under way with no further delay, Polanco goes on the DL with an undisclosed injury.

You're a better person than I am. He'd have been gone two years ago if it were up to me.
