Rudolpho Castro Recalled

The transaction page on the Pirates' Official Site notes that the Pirates have recalled infielder Rudolpho Castro. While it likely is only for today's double-header, it is encouraging to see that the Bucs believe he warrants a recall. He is on the 40 man roster so no corresponding move needs to occur.

Previously, they could call up a 26th player for two 9-inning games in D/H. Now they get to call up a 27th player for two 7 inning games. I don't see the logic.

Just wait until they play two 5-inning games. A 28th man will be called up so he can hand out the orange slices and take the youngsters out for ice cream after the games if they win one.
