Again ... just in time for it to not matter.
yeah, this stretch has gotten them about the 18th best team ERA in the majors.

Hope they don't break up this club. Clearly a juggernaut heading into next season.

MORE GOOD NEWS !!!
Buccos had an early season stretch when they went 2-14.
And a late season stretch when they went 1-13.
But if you don't count those two stretches, this team actually went 15-12 this season!! That's .556 baseball baby !!!

Jack Leiter, the son of Al Leiter. He is Rocker's rotation buddy at Vandy. Let that sink in. Vandy is going to have the top two picks, both starters.

They are listed a lot as 1 and 1A for the draft. You can bet, whichever one the Pirates get, guarantees the other will be a stud!

I would hate to think what their record would be if they played 162

I'd hate that, too. 60 was bout 40 too long for this type of performance.
But, what i would have loved....is to see how Yinzers would have reacted.
Would they have sat there and taken it....or, voiced dissatisfaction?
My guess is, after a certain point, patience would have been lost.

And the Bucs are now trying to add more misery to this season by losing (out) because they suddenly started winning.
I too fear that management may overvalue this recent run of success by the starters as evidence that things are set for next year, particularly with Tallion returning.
Nearly all of the recent pitching successes were against the Cubs and Cards; two teams, who like the Bucs, have not been offensive titans. Pirate management should remember how better hitting teams, the Twins and White Sox, basically chewed up and then discarded most Pirate pitchers.
A starting staff of Tallion, Musgrove, Brault, Williams, Kuhl and Keller leaves much to be desired.

Aren't the next three against Cleveland? That may be a tougher assignment.

They ought to be allowed to pitch from the ladies tees. ((
