With Marte out with a sprained wrist, I wonder why Bell has the day off this late in the season and him fighting for the RBI total? Anyway good to see some of the kids getting to play again as this lost season winds down.

4-0 Cubs, 2nd inning. Shaping up to be another blowout loss featuring the many thoughts of Joe Block.

Gotta give Block some credit today. He is trying to explain why the kids are in the lineup today. And Walkie is reinforcing his thoughts. I've gotta say Block commented on how Kramer and Reyes got to balls hit into the corners and held the runner to a single instead of a double. May be that one of them becomes the super sub next year.

These last 2 games with the Cubs have been terrible. The pitching has been pitiful. This appears it is going to be a 90 or more loss season. Tough to watch this team!

What bothers me more than the losing is that they don’t play the young players. I would like to see how Tucker, etc., can do with a series of starts. We already know what Cabrera can do.

I didn't have high hopes for the Panthers or the Pirates today.
But I never would have guessed that the Pirates would lose worse than Pitt.

If you look at the Baseball reference team pitching stats, the Bucs are consistently in the bottom ten. And in multiple cases they are second worst in the NL to the Rockies. Because Colorado.
Can't wait to hear Neil's spin on this tomorrow.
