Shit Pham again. The guy can't hit. Why the hell can't Shelty quit smoking weed and play Gorski? Let Gorski try to do better. We'll never know unless he gets a chance.
My guess is that Gorski embarrassed Cherington by homering in his first AB after fans had been clamoring for Gorski to be recalled but Cherington was in no hurry. So by not playing him, they can act like, despite the HR, he wasn't recalled sooner because he's not a significant addition to the roster.

As much as I believe these guys are nincompoops, I’m guessing they're protecting Gorski by holding him out of games against these Dodgers pitchers because they think he’ll be overmatched. That he’d go hitless with multiple strikeouts and lose all confidence. And if that’s the case, they’re worse managers than I thought. Gorski’s 27 years old, old enough to not go cry in the corner. Besides, all he’d have to do is see that, with results like that, he’d be playing to the standards of his own teammates. He’d probably feel pretty good about himself.
If he doesn’t play again on Tuesday, he should go into Shelton’s office and demand to be sent back down so he can play and then insist the organization trade him to a team that really wants to win.
