Gorski in the lineup tonight. Did the Pirates have an open roster spot on the 40? I don't see a corresponding move, Suwinski was optioned, but who lost a roster spot?

Okay, found it. They transferred Mayza to the 60 day IL

I like this move. I don’t think Gorski is the answer. I think he will struggle, even if he gets off to a quick start before pitchers figure him out. But I’m just glad to see Cherington willing to make a roster move that makes sense. And maybe Gorski will be a nice addition. At least we’ll get the chance to find out.
