I find it interesting that management mentioned possibilities for first base but didn't include Henry Davis in that list. That would seem to be a natural alternate spot for him. They did indicate that Endy would not be playing there (but perhaps only because he did a spot or two there his most recent healthy year).

We used to hear that Endy had a good bat and was versatile. He's played some 1B in the minors. But now that they need someone for 1B, they seem content to let him sit on the bench as the #2 catcher. Go figure.

Endy was listed as the Bucs #1 prospect because of his bat and not his glove. He gets a shot in 2023 and he doesn't hit. I think he needs to prove he can hit the ball before he becomes the backup catcher plays another position.
If it's Bart and Endy as catchers, what about Davis? If he isn't catching (except as third choice) and can't play first and (as we all know now) can't play right field, what's left? Does he push out Cutch? Does he get traded? Released?
