Just tuned into the game and saw we’ve improved from last night. Yesterday we lost by 10. Tonight we’re just behind by a touchdown.

McKinney strikes out on three pitches, none of which were in the strike zone. That seems to be a big issue with our guys.

Rowdy shows improvement over McKinney by striking out on four pitches, three of which weren’t in the strike zone. Oh yeah, it’s an issue alright.

Bucs put up a pair in the 9th but fall short. 9-5 is your final. Drive home safely.

A BDLC HR (his first with Pittsburgh) makes it 9-3 Cubs.
Hopefully he can hit better and still have power next year, IMO, having 19 homers and an OPS under 700 is not the sign of a good or even decent hitter.

Keller starts, lose 18-8.
Jones starts, lose 9-5.
Skenes starts tomorrow, ??????

Remember when people said don't let the Pirates sneak into the playoffs, with their "Big Three" they could be really dangerous.

Cruz has a 4-4 night. Maybe he has found his niche as a DH. This
way he doesn't have to think too much.

It was encouraging to read a quote from Cruz in a story in today's Post-Gazette about his moving to center field. “If it were up to me, I would play center field today,” Cruz said with a smile. “That’s their decision, and I would like to start as soon as possible.” Sounds like his initial disappointment has given way to the realization that he's being given an opportunity to become a better all around player with this change. If he can begin closing in on fully realizing the talent he has, combined with becoming a more focused player, we'll have one of those power bats we so desperately need.

He's in CF today.
