As catchers generally have become the other automatic out this seems an upgrade over Michael Perez. Amazing how few catchers rake in MLB.

Why? He is so bad - as bad as Perez at least and maybe worse as he is not as good defensively.

If this is another transition year, why are we wasting time on throw-aways like Knapp and VanMeter. Madris rakes and is actually an OFer so we can start the season with a couple of infielders - Tucker and VanMeter trying to play the OF. Why? Let's see what we have in Madris.

I just don't get these last two moves. BC has become NH.

BC IS NH.

There isn't a GM alive nor one who's dead who doesnt/didn't make blunders. Most make some good moves. Comes with the job.

Huntingdon wasn't terrible. Cherington's not exceptional.

They're somewhere between.

The same can't be said of their boss.

Nutting’s GMs often find themselves using the $2.58 they have to work with to try a few dumpster dives and see which are least bad.

The A's, Reds, and Pirates, seem to be bailing water. Did I miss any?

I think that some members are just beginning to understand the deal.

here's how it goes. The money to keep guys and get guys will suddenly turn up in about three years or so when the suspects show up.

Some guys might show up once in a while, but the money never will.
