A career .218 batting average over 9 seasons gives one

no reason for optimism

Hey, it's .228! Now don't you feel better about the signing? :D

I think it was either .218 or .216 from last year. Regardless, I don't feel any better ;D

The 2022 Bucs have Bryan Reynolds as there only real qualified major league starting outfielder.

Gamel is a platoon outfielder at best, Marisnick is a back-up.

With 2 outfielders that are poor hitters, a catcher that can't hit, and it is doubtful that both the shortstop and secondbaseman will hit well doesn't bode well for the Bucs offense.

I predicted them to score way more than last year's 609 runs. Starting to think I over estimated though, going to be tough to score over 630 in 2022.

These recent additions find me facing difficulty in containing my excitement. I'll do my best.

This year’s plan, the one where they’re trying to secure the first overall draft pick next year, continues to round into shape.

The Washington Nationals, with the "advantage" of being in a much more difficult division, might have something to say about that. Let's see who will be the most awful in the annual and perpetual cankicking contest.

Marisnick signing is a prelude to a Reynolds trade.
