A Chavis sighting! He's 3 for 8 (.375) with a 2B and a GS and he's 2nd on the team in RBIs (4) but this is only his 2nd start.

Watching Nats broadcast (no choice) with Bucs audio streaming (but behind by a batter). Through 3 innings, Joe Block has been fine. He's sticking to the game and not talking nonstop. I'm pleasantly surprised. :)

2 hits so far for Hayes. In these first 8 games the ball is just jumping off his bat. He gets ground ball singles because the ball is hit so sharply that the infielders can't get to it.

Both starting pitchers are lifted after 4.1 IP. Both are pitchers who can't fool or overpower batters and I guess their managers are just happy to get 4+ out of them without them giving up a lot of runs.

Chavis' 2nd hit puts Bucs up 3-2. I'm glad Shelton finally remembered him.
