In a desperate attempt to avoid winning the game and the series, Shelton is benching both Reynolds and Hayes. This is a continuation of last season's policy of always benching his best players in the final game of a series when a win would win the series. They were the only team to not win a series and Shelton's lineups suggested he preferred it that way.

Yea no reason to give them both the day off 9 games into the season when your trying to win 3 out of 4 in a series. I don’t understand what Shelton is trying to prove by constantly doing things like this all the time.

I like that he is giving everyone playing time to facilitate their earning a spot on the team when Cruz comes up. Someone will have to go and let them earn their spot on the team. I do wish Vogey was leading off though

Good thing they are giving young able body men a day off after all that hard work:(

Maybe he needs them sharp for the upcoming 7 game road trip.

Let's have a Happy Easter win!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cherington tells Shelton who to play. How else would he know who he has?

I feel sorry for the kids who are at the game but don't get to see the team's top two players in the game. What a disappointment for Kid's Day Sunday.

When I was a kid I always wanted to see Roberto and Maz in the lineup for every game I went to.

Shelty and/or BC you deserve a great big boo for your decisions with today's lineup.

BC and Shelton think this is meaningless at least for this year.

They must.

Heck, if we had a set lineup, we'd win the WS, the way these guys sound. ;)
