Could Austin Romine Help The Pirates

Austin Romine opted out of his contract with the Angels yesterday, and I am wondering if he would be a better option at catcher than the two catchers now on the roster. Romine is a couple years older than the Bucs current catchers, but he has a lifetime fielding percentage of.996. Since he is a free agent he could provide good defense for the Pirates.
