Mlb Draft about a month away. Buccos have the 4th pick.



The catcher from GT looks real good Kevin Parada. Big power is what we need. A platoon of 1st round catchers who then can DH or maybe play some 1b. With the way catching has been this year this isn`t such a crazy idea. Could be a guy who can fast track to majors like Davis is on pace to do. Davis has been kind of injury prone. But think of the production thes guys could bring.

They used the #1 overall pick last year on their catcher of the future. I don't think we'll see them use this year's #4 overall on another catcher who would only be a year behind Henry Davis.

Pitching, please- if someone's worth taking.

With their 36th pick I would like the Bucs to take a flyer on Rocker. He is hitting 97-99 in the Independent league. I know that Boras is his agent but he maybe only 1-2 years from the majors.

Do you think that he'll be available by then?

I've read that he's not a sure thing to go in the 1st round. So it's possible he could still be around at #36.

I have no idea about suspects and rankings. Everyone has an opinion, and I dnk how often the raters even see the guys.



Regardless, the one list I read had him ranked in or around #25. What that means as far as the actual selection, who knows? Tune in to find out, I guess.

If Parada can catch, he should be able to play 1st Base. There you go!

True but we also used a #1 pick on 2b Gonzales. So Terrmar Johnson who is projected to be a 2b only prospect is most likely out. Drew ,Brooks and Holiday all look to be gone by #4. Pirates may not have a choice.Unless they pull a Moskos and go way under slot on a guy.



Think how valuable a catcher that can hit is worth and the Bucs could develop 2.
