Greg Brown never stops fawning over his analysts. He just said Capps was one of the best closers in MLB.



Fact check: Capps exceeded 25 saves twice. In 2009 he had 27 saves but had a dismal ERA of 5.80. He had a very good season in 2010 with a combined 42 saves and 2.47 ERA. But even then he allowed a lot of base runners with 75 hits in 73 innings. But at least he ranked 5th in MLB in saves that year. His career went downhill after that. It's fair to say Capps was a top closer for 1 year. But beyond that, it's quite a stretch to call him one of MLB's top closers.
