8. Michael Perez (L) C

9. Jake Marisnick (R) CF

JT Brubaker (R) SP

Marlins

1. Joey Wendle (L) SS

2. Jon Berti (R) 2B

3. Jesus Aguilar (R) 1B

4. Avisail Garcia (R) RF

5. Brian Anderson (R) 3B

6. Jesus Sanchez (L) CF

7. Nick Fortes (R) DH

8. Bryan De La Cruz (R) LF

9. Jacob Stallings (R) C

Pablo Lopez (R) SP

Here we go again, Shelty playing two guys who have no future on this team in VanMeter and Yoshi. It's tough playing Marisnik but we need his defense until Reynolds comes back.

Let's go for 5 in a row!

VanMeter is the perfect leadoff hitter. ::)

Newman's been hitting well so he earned a day off. ::)

Castillo and Delay have been hitting well lately. So they also earned days off. It would be interesting to know why Shelton is so determined not to win 5 in a row.

What a putrid lineup. Not a single batter hitting over  .250, one batter hitting .200 and 4 guys hitting below the Mendoza line.

Can we change the the of the Mendoza Line to the Shelty Lineup!

“I’m really encouraged by the way we’re making decisions in terms of who’s in the lineup, when the pitcher is in the game, when the pitcher’s out of the game, the strategy,” Cherington said.

This bizarre decision making appears to be what Cherington wants. Because Shelton routinely manages as if he's trying to get fired, yet he remains in the dugout to do the same idiotic things every day. It's infuriating. My head is about to asplode. :)

Brubaker induces a double play to get out of a first and third situation. The Marlins are really struggling scoring in his series. Let’s hope that lasts through tomorrow.

Robbie just cited "Donnie Kelly's spectacular career."

LOL. Kelly was a decent utility guy. Career BA .230. 23 career HRs. Never started more than 45 games in a season. Very popular guy and I hope he becomes the next Pirates manager 10 seconds from now. But "spectacular career" is a bit much. But Robbie doesn't seem to know much about baseball.

I need to interview Robbie. "Robbie, what led to you getting this job while knowing so little about baseball and how does it make you feel?"

The Pirates have won this year with no hits and now might win with 1. Just 1 hit thru 7 innings but considering Shelton's "I hope we lose" lineup, that's not surprising.
